Instructional objective(s):
Students will collaborate to produce a PowerPoint presentation that contains all the information gathered about the benefits of recycling on our environment and how to get started. The presentation will also include a podcast of the interview conducted with the guest speaker. This presentation will be shared to the entire school with the intent to convince students to start recycling at home. The students will also work together to make posters to post around the school in order to promote recycling.

Before-class preparation:
Students will have wiki pages created with appropriate content to inform and persuade the students and parents of East Laurens Elementary to recycle at home. Students will use this knowledge while creating their presentation.

Teacher will review PowerPoint presentation rubric, poster rubric, and peer evaluation rubric. Teacher will provide each student with a copy of all rubrics.
Each group will present their wiki page to the class and reveal the information they have included.
All groups will come together as an entire class to produce a PowerPoint presentation. The students will incorporate the podcast of the professional interview into the presentation.
Students will spend two days creating posters to post around the school in order to promote recycling
Students will be able to work on individual posters at home.
Some students may work on various portions of the presentation at home using the appropriate technology, and then include their work into the presentation during class.
Internet Recycling notebooks and information from group wiki pages will be used to create presentation.
MONITOR
Ongoing assessment(s): Teacher will monitor the progress each day of the presentation and the creation of posters.
Accommodations and extensions: I will provide technical support for students while creating their presentations. I will also provide constant feedback through the process of creating the presentation and posters to ensure appropriate information is displayed.
